American Workforce Transformation Company Seals Partnership with New York-Based Climate Technology That Reutilizes Food Waste
Re-Nuble Joins JFFLAB’s Climate-Resilient Employees for a Sustainable Tomorrow (CREST)
New York City, New York – (September 28, 2023) Jobs for the Future (JFF), a company that drives transformation of the American workforce and education systems to achieve equitable economic advancement for all, announced today its partnership with Re-Nuble, a NYC-based climate technology company that converts unrecoverable vegetative food byproducts into a platform of sustainable solutions for agriculture. By Re-Nuble and JFF working together, they will leverage JFF’s ecosystem of resources and mentorship to implement best practices to accelerate the creation of climate resilient jobs at Re-Nuble and its multiple locations.
“This partnership was born from the desire to make sure that we are doing our best to create inclusive, advanced green manufacturing, within the growing bioeconomy, and jobs within climate smart agriculture that have longevity.” said Tinia Pina, Re-Nuble’s Founder and CEO.
Our education and workforce systems are broken. They are inequitable, disconnected, hard to navigate, and filled with barriers to economic advancement. According to JFF, over half of the U.S. labor force is not in quality jobs and faces systemic barriers to advancement, the unemployment rate of Black communities has been twice the white unemployment rate for more than 50 years, and less than 14% of students with low wealth who attend college complete their studies and graduate.
According to Pina, “When done right, we should have a template on how to scale this to other locations that we envision serving. If we are successful, every person that works for Re-Nuble will be nurtured in an environment where they don’t feel as if they are pigeonholed and too specialized.
